Dream bigger from my view as a small child. I would dream of having a ranch just like they did in the cowboy movies. Then when I became a teenager my dreams became more within reach or so I thought. I wanted to become an oceanographer and map the world under the water. Then in my twenties, they became bigger, and it was to pay off my car and to learn to fly a plane and then climb the highest mountain.
As I grew older my dreams changed with age. I have seen some of my dreams not getting fulfilled. And while that was a setback for me it didn’t stop me from dreaming big. Looking back at those failed dreams, I realized I was dreaming about unrealistic dreams. My real true dreams happened after I turned thirty. The Sky Is The Limit For Your Dreams!
Life Happens After Thirty:
My dream bigger became more accessible when I met my soulmate in my late thirties. We owned a 36ft Tiara and went fishing a lot. I thought that I fulfilled all my dreams when Steve entered my life. But I was so wrong, by the time I turned fifty, my dream got bigger and I went to college while working full-time. I managed to get my BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources. My dreams of having a life with someone to share my dreams with did happen to me and we had the best loving life together for 24 years until he passed away in 2016.
My Life Moves On And So Does My Dream:
I have two children and nine grandchildren, and now I have seven great-grandchildren to add to the mix of Kathy’s Dreams. Now that I have age and wisdom on my side. I now know that one of my biggest dreams is to see my two children become successful in their lives. One of my dreams was to take my 4 oldest grandchildren on a cruise and I made it happen!
My goal is to help all of my grandchildren with whatever I can when they need my help. This grandma doesn’t want to say “I can’t” anymore. I want so much for my children and grandchildren. If you want big dreams for yourself and your family, then make them happen.
The Grandmother Of My Biggest Dream:
My two youngest granddaughters and all seven of my great-grandchildren(soon to have number eight)and their age range is 12 years old to 3 months old. I want to be able to build a college fund for them. Because I don’t want them to struggle in life. As I did and have student loans hanging over their heads as I have. But in the present time, I just want to spoil them for Birthdays, and Christmas, and take them for vacations several times a year. So when it is time for one of them or all of them to go to college, I was thinking maybe the University of Florida?
You Are Never Too Old To Dream Bigger
As long as I have a breath in me I will always have dreams that keep me focused and wanting to face each day with a smile and have the confidence of turning on my computer and making lots of money. Now if someone came to me 30 years ago and told me that I could make money sitting at my kitchen table I would have told them that they were crazy. Well, all I have to say is dreams do come true!
At 70, dreaming bigger isn’t about climbing Mount Everest (unless you want to, of course). It’s about finally taking that art class, dancing in the kitchen like nobody’s watching, or starting a business just to prove you’re still the boss. You’ve got decades of wisdom, a lifetime of stories, and the freedom to do what you please—so why not dream bigger, bolder, and with a little extra sparkle? After all, the best adventures are the ones you haven’t had yet!
