An Adventure to Remember is Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, Florida. If you and your family are looking for a new adventure filled with fun and excitement, then Bush Gardens in South Florida is the place to visit. Just so you know this theme park has something for the young and old. Located in Tampa Bay, this park is a popular destination for both locals and tourists. I have been here many times, so let me tell you all about it.
An Adventure to Remember; Intense Roller Coasters:
One of the main attractions is the roller coasters. And for all, you adrenaline junkies, the Sheikra, Montu, and Kumba are a must-ride(which I’m not). Now hang on tight and you might want to close your eyes or not because the Sheikra is a 200-foot-tall dive coaster that sends you plummeting straight down at 70 miles per hour! Next, and try not to throw up, the Montu which is an inverted coaster that twists and turns through seven inversions. You guessed it here comes the Kumba which is a looping coaster that reaches speeds of 60 miles per hour. These coasters are sure to get your heart racing and provide a thrilling experience like no other. I am not going to lie, I did enjoy seeing the roller coaster, but there is not enough money in the world to get me on it.
Other Attractions:
Busch Gardens is also home to a variety of animal exhibits. Such as the Serengeti Plain is a 65-acre habitat that is home to beautiful zebras, giraffes, and antelopes, how amazing is that? We took a guided safari tour to see these animals up close and maybe smell them as well. And let me tell some of the animals sure did stink. What an adventure to remember for a lifetime. We had the opportunity to learn about their natural habitats while you were on the tour. Next, we went to the bird aviary, where my children got to feed and interact with exotic birds. Such as the Lorikeets, Bush Thick-Knee Curlew, Guira Cuckoo, and Lady Ross’s Turaco, just to name a few. P.S. On the ride home all I heard was let’s get a bird!
So Much More To See:
Busch Gardens not only has in my opinion the most extreme roller coaster and beautiful birds, as well as the animals on the Serengeti Plain. They have a live show and a variety of performances throughout the day, which include acrobatics, animal training, and comedy. One of the most popular shows is “Iceploration,” which features ice skating, aerial stunts, and live animals. When I first watched them perform they took my breath away and my children loved watching the animals perform too. This show is perfect for families with children and is a great way to take a break from the rides and enjoy some entertainment. If we had to choose what was the most fun between the water rides, animal exhibits, to live shows. We couldn’t decide.
An Adventure to Remember; Where To Eat:
When it came time to eat there were plenty of choices. From eating on the run to sit-down restaurants, there is something for every taste and budget. We noticed some of the most popular places to eat include Zagora Cafe, which serves Mediterranean cuisine. The kids did not care for Zagora so we ended up at Zambia Smokehouse and let me tell you the food was out of this world.
This trip to Busch Gardens was an adventure to remember. To this day when we are all together visiting we still talk about the fun we had watching the people on the roller coasters, animal exhibits, and live shows. There truly is something for everyone. So whether you’re a local or a tourist, this park is worth a visit. Please don’t forget to bring your sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and a sense of adventure!
